We do not carry "the Shack". By incarnating The Father and The Spirit (it doesn't matter in what form), the author degrades the place of the Incarnation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No man approaches the Father but by Him! (John 14:6) By ignoring this truth, the author falls into many other errors, for Jesus alone is the Way, The Truth, and the Life. Waiting on God--unceasing and entire dependence upon Him--is, in heaven and earth, the only true religion, the one unalterable and all comprehensive expression of our true relationship to the One in Whom we live.
Let us resolve at once that this will be the characteristic of our life and worship: a continual, humble, truthful waiting on God. We may rest assured that the One Who made us for Himself that He might give Himself to us and in us, will never disappoint us. In waiting on Him we shall find rest and joy and strength and the supply of every need.
